Leeds Building Society members have once again shown their generosity and commitment to charity, raising an impressive £16,700 for good causes at the Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM, which was held on the 23rd of October, saw members of the Society come together to discuss the Society’s performance and plans for the future. However, the event also provided an opportunity for members to show their support for local charities.
The money raised was donated to a range of charities, including Leeds Cares, a charity which works to improve the lives of people in Leeds, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The funds will be used to support a variety of projects, such as providing medical equipment, supporting research and helping to provide vital services.
The AGM was also an opportunity for members to hear from guest speakers, including representatives from the charities that will benefit from the donations. The speakers shared stories of how their organisations have made a difference in the local community and thanked the members for their generous donations.
This is not the first time that Leeds Building Society members have shown their commitment to charity. In previous years, members have raised over £50,000 for good causes. This year’s donation of £16,700 is another example of the Society’s commitment to supporting local charities and making a difference in the community.
The AGM was a great success and a testament to the generosity of Leeds Building Society members. The money raised will make a real difference to the lives of those in need and will help to support vital services in the local area.
